چکیده

هنگامی که قابلیت اطمینان منبع تغذیه به سطح بالای معینی می­رسد، اتوماسیون توزیع (DA) تأثیر بسزایی بر افزایش قابلیت اطمینان سیستم توزیع می گذارد. کاربرد طرح های DA در سیستم توزیع، به طور عمده بر تشخیص سریع و دقیق و برطرف نمودن معایب، تا پوشش خرابی های باریک و خرابی کوتاهِ زمانِ قطع برق و در نتیجه افزایش کیفیت و اطمینان مشتریان استوار است. در این مقاله، اثرات چهار نوع از طرح های DA بر قابلیت اطمینان سیستم توزیع، مقایسه و نشان داده اند. هدف این مقاله، فراهم نمودن اندازه گیری های کمی از اثرات اطمینان پذیری طرح های DA است، مطالعات موردی مقایسه ای نیز بر روی یک روش سیمکشی معمول در سیستم های واقعی انجام شده اند.

Abstract

Distribution automation (DA) has great effect on improving distribution system reliability when the reliability of power supply reaches a certain high level. The application of DA schemes in distribution system is mainly aimed at fast and precise detecting and handling of fault, to narrow fault coverage and shorten fault outage time,thereby enhancing the quality and reliability of customers. The effects of four kinds of DA schemes on distribution system reliability are compared and presented in this paper. The contribution of this paper is to provide quantitative measures of the reliability impacts of DA schemes, comparative case studies are conducted on a typical wiring method in real systems.

ABSTRACT

Estimation of the mean lifetime and reliability of sophisticated systems such as cogeneration power plant (CHP) is a challenging problem in energy-engineering applications. A simulation model that predicts failure and repair times is described and used to calculate operating time availability and costs to operate the system. The new concept of estimated repair time with a Weibull probability density function is the key to the study of the down time. This probability distribution was defined for each component to estimate the time necessary to repair and the associated costs in economic and sustainability terms. The described simulation model provides a tool that demonstrates the competitive advantage or disadvantage of the CHP system for an application and enables more informed decisions as to their designs.

Abstract—Packet loss and end-to-end delay limit delay sensitive
applications over the best effort packet switched networks such as
the Internet. In our previous work, we have shown that substantial
reduction in packet loss can be achieved by sending packets at
appropriate sending rates to a receiver from multiple senders,
using disjoint paths, and by protecting packets with forward error
correction. In this paper, we propose a Path Diversity with Forward
error correction (PDF) system for delay sensitive applications over
the Internet in which, disjoint paths from a sender to a receiver are
created using a collection of relay nodes. We propose a scalable,
heuristic scheme for selecting a redundant path between a sender
and a receiver, and show that substantial reduction in packet loss
can be achieved by dividing packets between the default path
and the redundant path. NS simulations are used to verify the
effectiveness of PDF system.
